Delphic - This Momentary

Delphic’s second release on the uber-cool Parisian label Kitsuné comes packged with a video that is rather spell-binding. It centres on Cherynobl 23 years after the disaster. Director Dave Ma begins with haunting, deserted towns near the disaster area, the emptiness echoing across both song and visuals. Then he moves towards villages further out where people, especially the elderly who were present still live.

In an era dominated by over-neon, over-scaled and over-sexed videos, this intimate, human piece is a lovely contrast.
