Sliimy - Womanizer
Cover culture is pervasive amongst music in our generation. It seems logical that there is a ‘Hubbert Peak Theory’ of music. This theory relates to oil but translates into music thus: That there is a finite amount of truly unique music that we can make. Covers would seem the easiest way to get around this theory and continue producing music that is innovative, novel and attractive. This Womanizer cover is brilliant by itself, but the video is superb. It reverts back to an old animation technique, and the amount of effort required to produce puts it in line for awards, if not for the execution - which is in itself, fantastic.
